Dr. Athina Petropulu Appointed ECE Department Chair


Dean Thomas Farris has announced the appointment of Dr. Athina Petropulu as the new Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. "Athina Petropulu, an IEEE Fellow, has an impressive record as a scholar and teacher at Drexel where she has served on the faculty for 18 years. She held visiting appointments at SUPELEC, CNRS-Universite Paris Sud, France and Princeton University. She is Editor-In-Chief, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and was named a Presidential Faculty Fellow by the White House in 1995. Her research in signal and image processing has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the US Army and the US Navy."
