Advanced Computer Architecture

In this class, you are going to learn how computer architecture should respond to emerging technological trends such as the availability of large amount of cheap transistors as well as challenging requirements such as low-power and pervasiveness. You will read classic and latest research papers in the field of architecture design. You will also learn how to come up with research ideas in this field, evaluate the idea, and write a conference-style project report.

2. The reading assignment for next week can be found in Calendar. The guideline for writing the paper summary and leading the discussion can be found here. The paper summaries are due in the class when the papers are discussed.
