Research

Dr. Pompili's CPS Lab aims at designing, developing, and implementing efficient sensing strategies to transform heterogeneous, multimodal raw data into valuable information and then into knowledge through real-time, in-situ information fusion and inference. These strategies apply to those distributed systems that need to react timely to sensor information with an effective action such as CPS, which feature a tight combination of - and coordination between - the system's computational and physical elements. The CPS Lab is active in the following research areas:

Highlights

  • Wireless Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks
  • Underwater Acoustic Communications, Vehicle Coordination, Multi-robot Formation/Steering, Task Allocation
