ECE 579 - Advanced Topics in Computer Engineering: Peer-to-Peer Computing
Fall 2001
Project Overview
- Project Overview:
The objective of the course projects is to evaluate existing P2P technologies,
frameworks, and mechanisms. The project will consist of first selecting
and specifying a set (3 - 5) representative P2P applications that stress
particular issues in P2P (e.g. security, messaging, discovery, sharing, etc.).
Then each student will select specific frameworks, technologies, and/or
algorithms and will evaluate them using this common set of applications. The
group will then combine results and make overall evaluations and comparisons
about the existing P2P landscape.
- Project Schedule:
- 10/12/01 - Specification of Driving Applications
- 10/19/01 - Project Statement
- 11/24/01 - P2P Workshop (http://www.lri.fr/~fci/GP2PC.htm)
Paper (2 pages)
- 12/10-12/12 - Project Final Report and Presentation
