ECE graduate student Nazmul Islam has been selected to receive the Qualcomm CR&D Roberto Padovani Fellowship. Nazmul is member of WINLAB, working towards a PhD under the supervision of Professor Narayan Mandayam.

The note that Nazmul received states:

"The fellowship is awarded to only 7 nominated CR&D interns and is in recognition of your technical excellence and contribution. The interns in CR&D during the summer of 2013 represented the top students from the top academic institutions. It is quite an achievement to be selected from such a competitive pool of candidates.

The fellowship consists of a $5000 scholarship per academic year which will be paid directly to you to be used toward your school expenses such as tuition, books, living expenses, etc...

In addition, if you return to CR&D for another internship or full-time employment, then you will be eligible to receive a $12,000 return bonus.

You will receive details about the Fellowship later when it is officially announced. We wanted to congratulate you and be the first to give you the news. We look forward to our future collaboration."
