1.   Web Developer

A web developer is expected to have a development experience in both frontend and backend. The developer is expected to build webpages of dynamic contents, charts, and maps, by designing a database and its backend. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, and is ready to take ownership on the project.

Requirements:
  -   At least 1 year of software development experience
  -   Experience and fluency in web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, JSON
  -   Experience and fluency in database backend
  -   Experience and fluency in Python and/or Django is strongly preferred Android and/or iOS experience is preferred

2.   Mobile Software Developers

An Android/iOS developer is expected to develop high quality consumer facing applications and needs a good understanding on UI integration, multithreading, caching mechanisms, synchronization, and database interaction. Publishing at least one app on Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store is preferred.

Requirements:
  -   Experience and fluency in Objective C and/or Java on Android
  -   Experience in publishing an Android/iOS app in the market
  -   Experience in working with REST APIs in iOS/Android and a good working knowledge of HTTP is a must
  -   Solid computer science fundamentals
  -   One year of Android/iOS app development OR a desire to learn

d) Familiarity with various cable fabrication techniques a plus

TE Subcom

February 19, 2013   -  TE Subcom is an industry leading supplier of undersea communications systems and services. The internship position would be to develop software and hardware, a network manager, writing requirements and specs., developing in JAVA and C++, between junior-senior year with possibility for a continued working relationship, with possible ongoing work beyond the summer and chance to cultivate job interest for the student and company.

October 15, 2012   -  Siemens has informed the ECE Department that they would like to expand internship opportunities to our Undergraduate Students. ECE interns have worked on many exciting projects. Using Robust Statistics methods ECE students helped in the development of technology for the Detection of Calcified Coronary Lesions in 3D Cardiac CT Images which will result in a new family of Siemens clinical prototypes. Our students were also instrumental in the development of a new and efficient technology for real-time 3D reconstruction of the environment. This technology facilitates new applications in scanner automation and digital factories.
