Research Interests

  • Dr. Pompili is the director of the Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) Lab, whose mission is to propose novel sensing strategies to transform raw heterogeneous data into valuable information by giving semantic meaning to the collected data and, finally, into knowledge through information fusion and integration.
  • The CPS Lab is active on the following research topics:
    • Wireless Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks: from theory to practice
    • Underwater Acoustic Communications, Vehicle Coordination, Team Formation/Steering, Task Allocation
    • Thermal Management of Datacenters, Mobile Cloud Computing, Green Computing
    • Cognitive Radio Networks, Dynamic Spectrum Allocation
    • Traffic Engineering, Network Optimization and Control

  • Awardee of the DARPA Young Faculty Award (YFA) (a 2-year $300K grant), one of 51 awarded nationwide, 2012
  • Winner of the ONR Young Investigator Program (YIP) (a 3-year $510K grant), one of 26 awarded nationwide, 2012.
