I have received my GED. Which requirements apply to me?

If you have a GED you must be certain to provide the following documents in support of your application: 1. An official report of your GED examination scores. 2. Transcripts from any high school you attended regardless of the length of enrollment. 3. Transcripts from any college you have attended. Please note that courses taken in math, science, and foreign language at another college may be used to satisfy entrance requirements.

How do I go about taking summer courses outside of RU, and who pays for the tuition?

You may take certain courses at another institution over the summer or winter sessions (not during the spring or fall terms) and transfer the credit (not the grade) to be applied towards your Engineering degree at Rutgers. Tuition is paid for by the student. Click here for more information on transfer courses.

How can I check the status of my application?

All students who provide a valid email address on their online application will receive an immediate email response confirming its receipt. You may check the status of your application at Your Rutgers Status screen. You will need your nine-digit ID number or your assigned student identification number and your PIN to access this secure site. If you do not have access to the Internet, please call (732) 445-4636 and student assistants will access your status screen for you.

Where do I get verification of being a full time student?

To get verification of being a full time student, contact the Office of Verifications in ASB, Room 200L at (732) 445-7000. Students can also request full time enrollment via the Registrar's website. You can find more information on transcripts and verification  here.

Speech processing exercises uploaded on MATLAB Central

A team of speech processing specialists (Prof. Lawrence Rabiner from Rutgers ECE and Prof. Ronald Schafer from Stanford University), with the aid and assistance of Kirty Vedula (Rutgers ECE Graduate Student) and Siva Yedithi (ECE and CS undergraduate major at Rutgers) have created a set of about 58 Speech Processing MATLAB Exercises in support of classes and teaching in the area of digital speech processing.

Upon the recommendation of the IEEE Board of Directors, Drs. Dipankar Raychaudhuri and Narayan Mandayam are recipients of the 2014 IEEE Donald Fink Award for their IEEE Proceedings paper entitled "Frontiers of Wireless and Mobile Communications," Proceedings of the IEEE, Vol. 100, Issue 10, April 2012, pp. 824-840.

The congratulatory letter, sent to Ray and Narayan by the IEEE President states:

In its November 2013 meeting, the Board of Directors of IEEE has conferred the grade of IEEE Fellow upon Professor Wade Trappe for " contributions to information and communication security".

ECE student Stephen Newberry, has been selected as an IEEE PES Scholarship recipient.

The PES Scholarship Plus Initiative recognizes undergraduate students who have declared a major in electrical and computer engineering, are high achievers with strong GPAs with distinctive extracurricular commitments and are committed to exploring the power and energy field. Each scholarship recipient receives $2,000 USD.

Best paper award for WINLAB team at 2013 ACM MobiArch

Francesco Bronzino, Kiran Nagaraja, Ivan Seskar and Dipankar Raychaudhuri received best paper award at this week's ACM MobiArch workshop in Miami, FL.

The paper on the MobilityFirst service API is entitled, "Network Service Abstractions for a Mobility-Centric Future Internet Architecture." The paper's abstract is shown below.
