I have received my GED. Which requirements apply to me?

If you have a GED you must be certain to provide the following documents in support of your application: 1. An official report of your GED examination scores. 2. Transcripts from any high school you attended regardless of the length of enrollment. 3. Transcripts from any college you have attended. Please note that courses taken in math, science, and foreign language at another college may be used to satisfy entrance requirements.

What are Special Permission Numbers and Pre-requisite Overrides? How do I get one?

Where do I get verification of being a full time student?

To get verification of being a full time student, contact the Office of Verifications in ASB, Room 200L at (732) 445-7000. Students can also request full time enrollment via the Registrar's website. You can find more information on transcripts and verification  here.

How can I check the status of my application?

All students who provide a valid email address on their online application will receive an immediate email response confirming its receipt. You may check the status of your application at Your Rutgers Status screen. You will need your nine-digit ID number or your assigned student identification number and your PIN to access this secure site. If you do not have access to the Internet, please call (732) 445-4636 and student assistants will access your status screen for you.

Professor Christopher Rose Wins Teaching Award

The Engineering Governing Council awarded the 2009 Excellence in Teaching Award to Professor Christopher Rose for excellence in teaching in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Professor Rose also received this award in 2005 and 2008.

The Center for Autonomic Computing (CAC) at Rutgers University is collaborating with Microsoft to accelerate real-world parallel and distributed applications on the Windows HPC Server 2008 platform.

For example, as part of this effort, students at at CAC are working with industry partners to enable the rapid parallel processing of large amounts of data, such as molecular data used by pharmaceutical companies, and have developed innovative autonomic solutions that can accelerate Hadoop by up to 250% for these applications.

Professor Marco Gruteser Wins National Science Foundation Career Award

Professor Marco Gruteser has received the National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (NSF CAREER) Award to study techniques to enhance wireless location privacy in client devices such as smartphones.

Aliye Ozge Kaya, Mung Chiang and Wade Trappe Win Best Paper Award

Aliye Ozge Kaya, a Rutgers ECE Ph.D. student and a member of WINLAB, Professor Mung Chiang from Princeton University and Professor Wade Trappe from Rutgers ECE and WINLAB have won a best paper award at GLOBECOM 2009, in Honolulu, HI. GLOBECOM is the flagship conference of the IEEE Communications Society.
