How do I go about taking summer courses outside of RU, and who pays for the tuition?

You may take certain courses at another institution over the summer or winter sessions (not during the spring or fall terms) and transfer the credit (not the grade) to be applied towards your Engineering degree at Rutgers. Tuition is paid for by the student. Click here for more information on transfer courses.

How can I check the status of my application?

All students who provide a valid email address on their online application will receive an immediate email response confirming its receipt. You may check the status of your application at Your Rutgers Status screen. You will need your nine-digit ID number or your assigned student identification number and your PIN to access this secure site. If you do not have access to the Internet, please call (732) 445-4636 and student assistants will access your status screen for you.

Where do I get verification of being a full time student?

To get verification of being a full time student, contact the Office of Verifications in ASB, Room 200L at (732) 445-7000. Students can also request full time enrollment via the Registrar's website. You can find more information on transcripts and verification  here.

Dr. Shantenu Jha has been awarded a Board of Trustees Research Fellowship for Scholarly Excellence as one of the university's most distinguished young faculty members.

This award is bestowed in recognition of Dr. Jha's outstanding scholarly accomplishments in his years at Rutgers, as documented in the evaluation that has led to his recent promotion to Associate Professor.

Marconi Prize Paper Award for ECE Alumna Aylin Yener!

ECE Alumna Aylin Yener, currently Professor at Penn State University, is the recipient of the 2014 IEEE Marconi Prize Paper Award in Wireless Communications for her paper "Optimum Transmission Policies for Battery Limited Energy Harvesting Nodes", IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, Vol. 11, No. 3, March 2012, pp. 1180-1189.

The award will be presented at IEEE ICC 2014 in Sydney, Australia.

The Warren Township Committee announced the results of the Township Utility Hazard Inventory and Remediation Project conducted by a group of volunteers known as the "Warren Township Utility Advisory Committee (WTUAC)."

The Hazard Inventory was conducted in the fall of 2013 to:

ThermoVolt semifinalist at the 2014 MIT Clean Energy Prize

ECE alumnus Todd Katz' startup company, ThermoVolt, was one of seven start-up companies from around the country this year selected in renewable energy to compete for the MIT Clean Energy Prize. ThermoVolt is a direct result of Todd's Capstone project at ECE Rutgers in 2013.

The team's capstone project had won first prize at the 2013 ECE Capstone competition.
