To get verification of being a full time student, contact the Office of Verifications in ASB, Room 200L at (732) 445-7000. Students can also request full time enrollment via the Registrar's website. You can find more information on transcripts and verification here.
If you have a GED you must be certain to provide the following documents in support of your application: 1. An official report of your GED examination scores. 2. Transcripts from any high school you attended regardless of the length of enrollment. 3. Transcripts from any college you have attended. Please note that courses taken in math, science, and foreign language at another college may be used to satisfy entrance requirements.
You may take certain courses at another institution over the summer or winter sessions (not during the spring or fall terms) and transfer the credit (not the grade) to be applied towards your Engineering degree at Rutgers. Professor Peter Meer Elevated to IEEE Fellow
In its November 2011 meeting, the Board of Directors of IEEE has conferred the grade of IEEE Fellow upon Professor Peter Meer for "contributions to mean-shift and robust techniques in computer vision".
ECE and IEEE present a tutorial workshop on Particle Flow for Nonlinear Filters and Trends in Signal Processing
Frederick Daum, Senior Principal Fellow at Raytheon and IEEE Fellow, will present a tutorial workshop entitled "Particle Flow for Nonlinear Filters and Trends in Signal Processing" on Monday December 12th from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. This tutorial will be held in the CoRE Building Lecture Hall. This event is free and open to the general public. No registration is required. NJ Inventors Hall of Fame Honors ECE Alumnus D. Comaniciu
ECE Alumnus Dorin Comaniciu was named one of the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame's Inventors of the year for his work in computer vision, which helps cameras identify and track people or objects as they move.

Dr. Comaniciu received his PhD from ECE Rutgers in 1999 and is currently Global Technology Head, Image Analytics and Informatics at Siemens Corporate Research
Department of Energy FUNDS DR. J.H. ZHAO and RUTGERS UNIVERSITY’S SiCLAB for Groundbreaking Energy Research Project
Dr. Zhao and SiCLAB received funding at $945,476 from the Department of Energy for a three year project entitled, “First in Class Demonstration of a Completely New Type of SiC Bipolar Switch (15kV-20kV) for Utility Scale Inverters”.
Senators Franken and Coons Cite WINLAB Researchers
As widely reported in the media last week, Senators Al Franken and Chris Coons urged OnStar to reconsider changes in their privacy policy. The letter to OnStar cited a WINLAB research paper to back up their position.
