Welcome to the Communications and Signal Processing Laboratory (CSPL), affiliated with Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey! CSPL is led by Prof. Athina Petropulu, conducting research in the area of statistical signal processing, with emphasis on system modeling and system identification. Applications of interest include wireless communications, networking and biomedical engineering, etc.

  • 2024 March: Congratulations to Silvia Mura for starting an assistant professor position at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Silvia was a visiting PhD student at our lab during Mar. - Sep. 2023.

  • 2019 August: Congratulations to CSPL alumni Dr. Shunqiao Sun for joining Alabama University as Assistant Professor!
  • 2016 Feburary: Congratulations to Dionysios Kalogerias for having been selected to receive an NSF student travel grant to attend the 2016 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP) in Shanghai, China. According to the letter that Dionysios received, grant selections were made to applicants with highly ranked papers. As part of the grant, Dionysios will receive $500 for his travel expenses to ICASSP 2016 in Shanghai.
  • 2015 October: Congratulations to Dr. Shunqiao Sun on his successful PhD dissertation defense.
  • 2015 May: Congratulations to CSPL alumni Xueshi Yang! The company founded by Xueshi is to be acquired by Silicon Motion Technology, a fabless semiconductor company listed in Nasdaq (Nasdaq: SIMO). See the news.
